Tuesday 28th October saw the Allied Annual Meeting at Great Queens St, London. An excellent meeting hosted by the Grand Master Thomas Firth Jackson who was in great form as usual. It was a fantastic event for Yorkshire Allied Masons seeing RW Bro Tony Llewellyn and W Bro’s Stephen Sharp, Rod Taylor and Arthur Wainwright all become ‘chain bearing’ Acting Officers of Grand Council. These promotions were complemented with the promotions for W Bro’s Clive Copley our DGP, Algis Vasis and Ian Wood. A first promotion for Mal Sharpless made for a really great day – it was made extra special by the number of brethren from Yorkshire who came down to support the District. The icing on the cake was the final promotion of the day when the Grand Master, elevated VW Bro Glynn Goddard the Grand DC and a member of Paragon E Council in Beverley to the rank of PGJW making him a Right Worshipful Brother. The meal in the festive board was extremely enjoyable, finishing off a truly memorable day.
