Saddleworth Council 281 held its Installation meeting on Friday 27th February, which saw W Bro Steve Spooner install his good friend Bro David Hoyle in the Chair of St Lawrence. After the installation W Bro Stephen Sharp took the Chair to conduct the Ceremony of St Lawrence the Martyr for his candidate Bro Graham Franklin. The meeting was enhanced by the presence of R W Bro Brian Butterfield on his last Council visit before standing down and W Bro Clive Copley Deputy District Grand Prefect and District Grand Prefect Designate. The atmosphere in the social board was buzzing where tribute was paid to Brian on what for him was an emotional day. This was a truly great day of Allied Masonry.
