W Bro James Millington welcomed W Bro Stephen Sharp AGDC to White Rose Council on Saturday 14th March. Stephen was the personal representative of the R W District Grand Prefect. The main business of the meeting was a talk given by R W Bro Brian Ward-Price PDGM on the ‘History of Elbow Square’. V W Bro Gerry Barker provided the buffet as usual, and good fayre it was! Stephen in his response to the toasts thanked the Worshipful Master and the brethren for their warm hospitality. He then went on to pay tribute to R W Bro Brian Butterfield who is standing down as District Grand Prefect in a fortnight. Informing the brethren what an excellent servant to the District Brian has been and the debt of gratitude we all owe him. He then went on to say that the District was going to be in excellent hands under the leadership of W Bro Clive Copley as District Grand Prefect and being so well and ably supported by John Clough as his deputy.
