The District of Yorkshire welcomed M W Bro Thomas Firth Jackson, The Grand Master to its AGM on Saturday 28th March. The Grand Master was accompanied by a delegation of Grand Officers, to Install Clive Copley as our new District Grand Prefect. A sell-out attendance at Castlegrove, Leeds of 137 Allied masons and a plethora of District Grand Prefects from across the country came to support the event.
R W Bro Clive Copley then installed W Bro John Clough as his Deputy, an appointment which has been well received across the District.
The festive lunch gave time for plenty of socialising among friends in a packed dining hall. During the toasts R W Bro Clive Copley gave his own personal thanks along with that of the District to the M W Grand Master for gracing us with his attendance along with the Grand Team. The Grand Master responded in his usual time honoured fashion of being down to earth, warm and encouraging to one and all.
This was a big day for the District of Yorkshire, with Clive and John at the helm Allied Masonry in the District can only go from strength to strength.
