R W Bro Clive Copley, District Grand Prefect was supported by a plethora of District Officers at Frank G Whitworth Council on the 19th June. These included W Bro John Clough
DDGP, the District Senior and Junior Wardens, The District DC along with a good number of supporting District Officers. The meeting started by W Bro Roger Quick the WM welcomed R W Bro Clive Copley the DGP and hid team to the Council. The WM proceeded to install his successor Bro Richard Aldrigde in to the ‘Chair’ of St Lawrence in a very professional manner. The festive board was an enjoyable affair albeit the meal service was somewhat slow. R W Bro Clive Copley DGP, gave a heartfelt response to his toast, giving a special mention to his predecessor R W Bro Brian Butterfield who did such a lot for the District during some difficult periods. He congratulated W Bro Aldridge on achieving the ‘Chair’ of St Lawrence. The ‘icing on the cake’ was the announcement that at the next meeting of the FGW Council they will be bringing a candidate into the order.
